Crosslinks History

Crosslinks was set up as a model agency by the Disability Services Commission in 1996. Approximately two years later it began operating on its own as a private not for profit service provider.

Crosslinks Incorporated provides flexible, innovative, personalised options for individuals and their families. Individuals are 18 years and over, have an intellectual disability and may have an associated physical disability.

Crosslinks Inc. is based in Midland and operates within the east metropolitan region of Perth. This area is from the hills region to the east of Midland, as far west as Wanneroo Road and from Upper Swan to the north and as far south as Maddington on the Albany Highway. The provision of support outside these boundaries can be discussed with the appropriate program Manager.

Crosslinks Inc. operates as an incorporated body under the guidance of a Board of Directors. The Board members are volunteers drawn from the general community to oversee the Strategic Direction of the organisation. The Board meets on a monthly basis throughout the year. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is conducted towards the end of each year, where the financial statements of the organisation are presented and the Chairperson of the Board, along with the CEO, table their annual reports. New Board members are elected at this meeting and the Board also selects its Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer for the forthcoming year. All employees, families and participants of Crosslinks Inc. programs are encouraged and supported to attend the AGM. General members of the community as well as a representative from the Disability Services Commission (DSC) are also invited to the AGM.
